The Man of His House Course

Four Quarters.
One Season.

14 Modules · Workbook · Weekly Reps · Lifetime Access

This isn't content to consume. It's a season to train. Every module gives you straight teaching, a Scripture anchor, one hard question nobody else will ask you — and one rep you run at home that week. Watch it in 20 minutes. Live it for seven days.

"Train yourself for godliness."1 Timothy 4:7

How It Works

Watch. Answer. Rep. Repeat.

The season is built on the oldest coaching principle there is: you don't get better by learning the playbook. You get better by running the play until it's yours.

01

Watch

One video module a week. 15–25 minutes of straight teaching — story first, principle second, Scripture as the playbook.

02

Answer

One hard question in your workbook. Answer it honestly. Nobody's grading you — but God already knows.

03

Rep

One concrete action at home that week. A conversation, a habit, a repair. Reps build men. Nothing else does.

04

Repeat

14 weeks. Four quarters. By the end you haven't finished a course — you've trained a life.

Not sure where you're exposed? Take the free 14-question assessment first — it tells you which quarter to attack.

What's In The Season

Every module below is open — tap any one to see the Scripture anchor, what we cover, and the rep you'll run. Nothing hidden behind the buy button.

Q1 — Identity

Forged in the Fire
01The Hit You Didn't See Coming+

Genesis 32:24–31 · 2 Corinthians 12:9 · Joshua 24:15

ACC Defensive Player of the Year one year. A tumor in my femur the next. Every man takes a hit that exposes what he was standing on — this module is about what's underneath you when yours lands. Mine showed me my name was on the mortgage of my life, but it was never on the deed. Includes a straight talk on anxiety and depression: struggling is not faithlessness, and getting help is not weakness.

The RepWrite down the three things you're most tempted to build your identity on. Tell one trusted man this week.
02Son Before Soldier+

Matthew 3:16–4:11

The Father says "This is my beloved Son" before Jesus performs a single miracle. Identity precedes assignment. A man who performs for approval will exhaust his family. A man who lives from approval will bless them.

The RepOne morning this week, before your phone: Matthew 3:17, five minutes, spoken over you.
03Undrafted+

1 Samuel 16:7 · Psalm 118:22

All 32 teams passed on me. The world's evaluation of you and God's calling on you are two different documents. Most men are still trying to prove someone wrong — and that fuel poisons how you father.

The RepName the wound out loud — to God, and to your wife or a brother.

Q2 — Training

The Disciplined Man
04Nobody Drifts Into Godliness+

1 Timothy 4:7–8 · 1 Corinthians 9:24–27

You'd never show up to camp out of shape and expect to make the roster. Yet men show up to marriage and temptation with zero spiritual conditioning and wonder why they fold. Disciplines aren't legalism — they're reps.

The RepBuild your one-page training card: daily Word, weekly prayer with your wife, one honest conversation with a brother.
05Film Study — The War for Your Eyes+

Job 31:1 · Matthew 5:27–30 · 1 Corinthians 10:13

If lust and porn are your fight, you are not the exception in the room. Shame keeps it hidden; the gospel drags it into the light. This isn't about willpower — it's training, brotherhood, and cutting off supply lines. And it's about your wife: porn isn't a private sin, and this module treats her wound as real.

The RepTrack your triggers for seven days. Bring the film to one brother. Install real accountability — not the kind you can uninstall at midnight.
06The Fuse — Winning the War with Anger+

Genesis 4:6–7 · James 1:19–20 · Proverbs 16:32

Controlled violence was my job — channeled aggression between the whistles. Every man has that fire. The question is whether it's trained, or running loose on the people you love.

The RepIdentify your fuse conditions and build a two-minute delay protocol. Then tell your kids: "Dad's training too."
07The Locker Room+

Proverbs 27:17 · Ecclesiastes 4:9–12

I was discipled in an NFL locker room by a veteran who lived his faith out loud. Isolation is where men die. Every man needs a Paul, a Barnabas, and a Timothy — someone ahead of him, beside him, and behind him.

The RepSend the text. Ask one man to meet regularly. Uncomfortable is the point.
08The Grind & The Sabbath+

Genesis 2:2–3, 15 · Colossians 3:23 · Matthew 6:24

Work, money, and rest. Most men swing between two ditches: the idol of work and the escape from it. Scripture honors the grind and commands the Sabbath — an act of trust that God runs the world while you rest.

The RepOne real 24-hour Sabbath this month. One honest money conversation with your wife.

Q3 — Covenant

Fighting FOR Her
09Fight FOR Her, Never WITH Her+

Ephesians 5:25–33 · Genesis 2:24

"Love your wife as Christ loved the church" is a death sentence — to your ego, your preferences, your scoreboard. Headship isn't privilege; it's going first into sacrifice. Plus: how the way men treat women gets shaped by what was modeled for us growing up — and how to unlearn it.

The RepAsk her one question and do nothing but listen: "Where do you feel most alone in our marriage?"
10A Man Safe to Follow+

1 Peter 3:7 · Colossians 3:19

You cannot lead someone who doesn't feel safe with you. Tone, temper, consistency, repentance — the ground every other part of your leadership stands on. Includes best practices for husbands whose wives carry past harm.

The RepRepair one thing. Own something specific, out loud. Real repentance — no "I'm sorry you felt that way."
11Pursuit Didn't End at the Altar+

Song of Solomon 2:10–13 · Proverbs 5:18–19

The wedding wasn't the finish line — it was the starting whistle. Date her. Study her. Protect the marriage from the real threats: drift, screens, busyness, and the quiet assumption that she'll always be there.

The RepAsk her the number — 1 to 10, how pursued she feels. Then plan one act of pursuit that costs you something.

Q4 — Legacy

The Present Protector
12Presence Over Applause+

Deuteronomy 6:4–9 · Psalm 127

The world applauds the version of you that walks out the door. Your kids need the one who walks back in. Presence beats provision alone — your kids won't remember your title; they'll remember whether your eyes came up from the phone.

The RepThe threshold habit: 30 seconds in the driveway to pray, phone in the drawer, first 15 minutes home fully engaged.
13Your Kids' First Picture of God+

Deuteronomy 6:6–7 · Psalm 103:13 · Ephesians 6:4

You are the first Bible your children will read and the first picture of the Father they'll form. Blessing, affection, Scripture at the table, and apologizing when you blow it. Includes the screen fight: a family tech plan that starts with Dad's phone in the drawer first.

The RepSpeak a blessing over each kid this week — by name, out loud, specific.
14Defender of the Vulnerable+

Psalm 82:3–4 · Isaiah 1:17 · Micah 6:8

Why a Super Bowl champ spends his platform fighting for people who can't fight for themselves: strength exists to protect the weak. This is where your sons learn what muscles are for and your daughters learn what men are for.

The RepOne act of justice or mercy as a family this month. Let your kids watch you do it.
Outside the Core Spine

Bonus Tracks Included

  • The Single Dad Playbook — for every dad parenting solo: you can't control the other house; you can control yours.
  • Blended Family Field Guide — relationship before authority, patience measured in years.
  • The Fatherless Man — building with no blueprint, and letting God re-father you (Psalm 68:5).
  • Before the House Fills — for the single man: the deed doesn't change on a wedding day. A one-bedroom apartment with one man in it is still His house — and the steward is already on duty.
Straight Answer

This Is For You If…

  • You're done being a spectator in your own home
  • You want to lead your wife and kids but nobody ever showed you how
  • You've got a fight nobody knows about — and you're ready to bring it into the light
  • You're a dad: married, single, divorced, blended, or fatherless yourself
  • You're single and you'd rather build the man before there's a house
  • You'd rather have one hard question and one real rep than another sermon
Equally Straight

It's Not For You If…

  • You want content to consume instead of a season to train
  • You're looking for ammunition to win arguments with your wife
  • You think the problem in your house is everyone but you
  • You're not willing to answer one honest question a week

No hard feelings either way. I'd rather you skip it than start it half-in — that's how men end up believing nothing works.

Before You Ask

Straight Answers

How much time does this actually take?+

Twenty minutes of video and one written question a week. The rep itself is usually a conversation or a habit — it costs you intention more than it costs you hours. If you can't find 30 minutes a week for your house, that's worth knowing too.

I'm not married. Is this a waste of my money?+

No. The best time to become a man of His house is before there's a wife and kids in it. Quarters 1 and 2 are your training camp — identity, discipline, purity, brotherhood, work and rest. Quarters 3 and 4 set the standard you'll carry into the house God may give you. Don't wait for a wedding to start training.

What's the theological lane here?+

Confidently complementarian, in the servant-leadership tradition, consistent with the Baptist Faith & Message. The door is open to men from every church background — but I'm not going to blur the lane to widen the door. And every word of it is framed around your responsibility as a husband, not around what your wife owes you.

Do I need to do this with a group?+

You don't need to. But I'd tell you to. The video teaches you; the brothers change you. If you want the locker room, look at His House group cohorts.

Is this counseling or therapy?+

No. This is discipleship and training. It is not licensed counseling, medical care, legal advice, or financial advice — and where those are what you need, I'll say so plainly inside the modules. Module 1 includes a straight talk on anxiety and depression, and the whole message there is: getting help is not weakness.

How long do I have access?+

Lifetime. Buy it once, run the season as many times as you want. Men often run Q3 again a year later and find a completely different set of answers waiting.

Not Sure Where To Start?

14 questions. 3 minutes. It'll tell you which quarter to attack first.
